The coat almost hits his shins and the shoulders are almost to his elbow. My arm fits into the coat arm and I weigh 15 stone! I could have bought him a 1/2 and it would have still been too big.(we have the 1/2 for my daughter and she's 20 months and it's HUGE on her) I don't mind clothes (especially coats) to be a bit generous but these look very ill fitting (kind of like hand me downs) so unless your child is very large for their age, buy a size down-trust me you will still get loads of wear out it.
