The structure:
The wood used for the cot structure is quite soft, and untreated, so no chemicals to worry about. It therefore looks quite cheap when you first open it all from its packaging (all delivered promptly and well packed). You could treat it with a water based paint if you wanted to personalise it.
The structure itself can be left as is on its four legs, or as a rocker by adding the wooden rockers, or on wheels (blockable).
The front bar:
is practical as it slides up and down according to level needed: down at night for easy access (when cot is fixed right next to your bed), and up during the day, so you can feel rest assured that baby is safe and won't roll out whilst unattended.
The instructions:
aren't exactly coherent but it's not rocket science either. It didn't take us very long to do it, it's quite straight forward. Remember to measure the correct height needed for the base of the cot bed to be fixed at (there are three levels...
