Purchased this light when it has heavily discounted to replace a single traditional bulb light fiting in a small bedroom.
Fitting

Fitting the light is straight forward enough and could be attempted by even the most amateur of home DIY'ers. Philips have made a couple of nice design touches which make fitting the light easier than some of the ceiling lights I have purchased in the past. Firstly the wire which connects the light fixture to the wires in your ceiling is detachable. This means that you can do all of the fiddly work of connecting up all of the wires without having to hold a heavy light fitting in one hand. Once the wires are connected you simply plug the wires back into the light fixture using a plastic plug. The second nice fitting related feature of the light is the way in which it attaches to the roof. A small strip of plastic (approx 15cm long) is screwed into the ceiling. At each end of this strip are a couple of spring loaded clips...
